The BBC pops in for coffee and cake
What a delicious day Friday was! Not only did we hold our first pop-up café but the BBC joined the mix to sample our wares and tell East Anglia about our pub, and our search for a tenant.
To take a bite from the BBC coverage, scroll to 14:56 on BBC iPlayer here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0bxhd41
If you weren't able to visit here's what you missed: the delectable cakes and some of the wonderful volunteers, all ready to rise to the occasion:
And now with added tea drinking, biscuit-dunking and perfectly baked conversation:
As you can see, it was all smiles and no tiers (sorry, had to find another cake pun!) and it gave the opportunity for young and old to talk, meet and discover new friends - all ingredients for a vibrant community.
If you’d like a slice of the action shares are still available! So far we have over 270 community owners, so why don’t you join them? You too could be part of our success. More details are here.
