The Three Tuns was bought on behalf of the village community in 2018. It is owned by over 320 shareholders many of whom live within walking distance and have a vested interest in the pub’s long-term success. The owners believe that a successful pub is a huge benefit to everyone in the village and that the tenant should be given every opportunity to run the business as effectively as possible with no brewery tie or other onerous constraints.
The village wants a pub that serves good food and good beer, events at the pub including a popular and successful monthly village market in the car park from April to November. It also hosts local talks, occasional theatre nights, and a monthly games night.
The owners would like a tenant that offers a friendly welcome with high-quality, traditional, and contemporary food and drink. It should be good value and locally sourced at different price points. They are looking for an operator with experience to arrange an exciting calendar of social events for the community to be a part of, provide a welcoming meeting place for local groups and fully utilise the beautiful building and excellent garden/patio.
