Guilden Morden Community Pub Ltd
Proud Owners of The Three Tuns, Guilden Morden

Guilden Morden Community Pub Ltd (GMCP) was established in 2017 as a Community Benefit Society (CBS) incorporated under the Cooperative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. It is owned and managed by the community for the community's benefit.
GMCP was formed to:

-
Raise funds to purchase the freehold of and refurbish The Three Tuns pub in Guilden Morden.
-
Lease the property to a tenant who will reopen and operate the pub as a successful long-term business.
-
Ensure, through the lease terms, that The Three Tuns remains a social hub for the wider community.
GMCP currently has over 310 shareholders, most of whom live locally, and its constitution is based on the Plunkett Foundation's model rules. This is a charitable organisation that supports community cooperatives in rural areas. As a CBS, each investor has an equal vote irrespective of the size of their investment, and no individual can make a capital profit from their investment. GMCP is currently managed by a committee consisting of six shareholders.
